Dr. Izz Eddin Katkhuda is a Founder, Partner and Director of the Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES), an engineering services company founded in 1983, which has developed into a successful regional corporation.
He is a well known expert in the fields of quality control, and testing of construction materials in the Middle East region. He has vast experience in entrepreneurship and small business development, as he founded more than ten successful companies in the MENA region over the last 20 years.
He is currently the Chairman of the National Technical Committee for the Accreditation of Laboratories in Jordan, the Chairman of the Steering Committee for Queen Rania Al Abdullah Prize for Excellence in Education, and the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Information and Research Center of the King Hussain Foundation.
He was a member of Greater Amman Municipality Council, its investment committee, and its strategic planning committee, a board member of the International Accreditation Service of the International Code Council, and serves as a board member of several public and private companies including Jordan Phosphate Mines Company LTD, Jordan Energy Resources Incorporation, and Jordan – French Uranium Mining Company.
Dr. Katkhuda holds Msc. and Phd. degrees in Materials Engineering and Transportation and Environmental Planning from the University of Birmingham – United Kingdom. He is the Author of more than fifty technical papers in the fields of geotechnical Engineering, Asphalt technology, quality control, pavement, and Engineering excellence.
